As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented and experienced Head Baker to lead our team and uphold our standards of excellence. Job Description: Position Summary: The Head Baker will oversee all aspects of the bakery's baking operations, including production, recipe development, inventory management, and staff supervision. This role requires a creative, detail-oriented individual with a passion for baking and a dedication to delivering exceptional products. Responsibilities: Production Management: - Plan and execute daily baking schedules to ensure timely delivery of fresh products. - Monitor quality control standards to maintain consistency and excellence in all baked goods. - Adjust production levels according to sales forecasts and inventory requirements. Inventory and Cost Management: - Manage inventory levels of ingredients to minimize waste and ensure sufficient supplies for production. - Work closely with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients at competitive prices. - Implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality. Staff Training and Supervision: - Train, mentor, and supervise baking staff to maintain high standards of craftsmanship and productivity. - Delegate tasks effectively, providing clear instructions and guidance as needed. - Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and professional growth. Sanitation and Safety Compliance: - Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures. - Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including equipment maintenance and sanitation protocols. - Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any potential safety hazards. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Head Baker or similar role, with a minimum of 2 in a commercial bakery setting. - Availability to work a flexible schedule. - Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment. - Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. - Excellent organizational and time management abilities. - Creative flair and a passion for innovation in baking. - Solid understanding of inventory management and cost control principles. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. - Certification from a culinary institute or equivalent experience preferred.
